Geez, I have been THE WORST at blogging. Can I get a “mhmm“?! But, in my defense, I’ve been super busy working full-time! Mix that with with holding down the fort while my husband works 12 hour days and then sprinkle my passion for photography in between all that. It’s been hard juggling all of that!
Luckily, all of those things have slowed down! My husband is off what they call “formal release” so he’s been home a bunch and I have so much time to focus on photography since I’ve parted ways with my full-time job! EEEK! I can’t tell you how excited this makes me! So, since I have all this time on my hands, I’ve been doing some serious photography work. I am this close to having my dream website and blog! I have been working with the most talented designer, Kirsten, from Brave and Beautiful Designs on customizing my website to perfection. I’m hoping to have all the loose ends tied up by the end of next week! Woot, woot! So be on the lookout for all the hotness in my corner of the internet.
On to this gorgeous family who is so near to my heart. I don’t know what took me so long to post about these guys, but here we are. The Stauffers are our very best friends in Oklahoma. Quick back story: we met Amanda while Nathan and I were still living in temporary lodging. I was trolling Craigslist for a dining room table and found the perfect one. It was countertop heigh, which I love, and a rich dark brown. I loved it! And even better, the suckers selling it only wanted $150 dollars. I was sold and started texting back and forth with the seller. Nathan gets home and agrees to make all my dining room table dreams come true. So we pull up to the sellers house and out comes this gorgeous, boot wearing, blonde. It was Amanda.
She couldn’t have been more sweet. I swear that people in Oklahoma have to be the nicest people on the planet, or maybe it’s just Amanda. Even after loading up, fast forward 2 hours later and we’re still talking with her. She was my kind of person, instant besties even! I remember thinking to myself “how can I make her be my friend for real”. Luckily, Amanda must’ve liked me just as much because she texted me not even a couple days later about some lab puppies she saw at the shelter in town (we told her we were in the market for a dog). Before I even had a chance to text her back, she texts again and says she’s already picked them up. Welcome to the family, Wittle Baby Bolt Action Roberts! Fast forward to now: Amanda and her husband, Kelly, and me and my husband, Nathan are tight as can be. They are good for our soul! We love heading over to their house for some good hearted fun, maybe a little corn hole and beer, some nights a bonfire. They are just those kind of people who you want to be around. We’re so thankful for them. I quite honestly don’t know what Nathan and I would do without such wonderful people in our lives. We love you, Stauffers!
P.S. – I know, their children are perfect! Hunter and Aspen (Aspen just celebrated her 4th birthday)!
