Wednesday Shenanigans: Pilot Training – where will we be going next?

As many of you know, I am married to the man of my dreams, who just so happens to be in pilot training.

It sounds entirely glamorous, and at times, it totally is! I envy the days Nathan takes a day trip and flies to Omaha to grab lunch. I love his little green pajama feeling onesie suit. And the way he smells after flying all day.

What I don’t love is the 12 hour days, washing all million of his green socks, the having to go to bed at 9PM, and people being mean to my man! “So what if he doesn’t have the right answer, he’s gorgeous! Leave him alone!”…is what I want to say to his IPs (instructor pilots) but of course I don’t. And Nathan would be mortified if I did.

Keep in mind, this is all completely from my perspective. Nathan is actually handling things really well! I, on the other hand, am ready for our next adventure! Ready for Nathan to officially earn his wings and be a pilot. Ready for him to really start living his dream, to feel like our house is a home, and see trees again. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again! I MISS TREES, people! There has to be some sort of depression linked to this. Whatever the opposite of the fear of trees is – I have that!

So, you’re thinking “annnnnd?! why does this matter?!” and it matters because this Friday, we’re finding out where we’ll be going next and what plane Nathan will be assigned! EEEEEK!

Just a few months ago I was whining to my Mom that it feels like this day will never come. We’re going to be stuck in limbo FOR-E-V-ER! But that was just me being dramatic. Because it’s (almost) here!

We are really to ready to embrace whatever comes our way and I will be proud of him no matter what! I remind him all the time that I love him for who he is, not what he does. I’m sure a lot of you can relate to that when it comes to your loved ones. It’s such an exciting time for us and I can’t wait to share the news with all of you!

If you’re interested, stay posted on here and my social media. I’m sure I’ll be blowing up Facebook and Instagram with all the embarrassing selfies I’ll be taking! Thanks so much for your support! Here we goooo!
