Where do I even begin on the magic that was this session? Brittney contacted me with a vision and I was so inspired and knew @thehadleyroom was the perfect place to achieve our minimal, fine art portraits. We wanted the focus to remain on Brittney and the incredible milestone she was experiencing. It was such an honor to capture her beauty in such a raw way. ✨

This bouquet was one of the first bouqs I ever mad

This bouquet was one of the first bouqs I ever made. In Germany they have blumenfelder (flower fields) everywhere, giving access to fresh blooms for almost nothing. These dahlias were cut down the street from our house and I think I paid 7€ for the flowers themselves and foraged the rest. I don’t miss a lot about Germany, but I do miss this. 💐

In other news, yesterday was bananas for the Roberts fam. While gardening I stumbled upon a wittle kitten underneath our firewood rack. After scaring the poor thing half to death, we successfully completed our rescue mission. So we had a tiny visitor for a few hours. 😻 It was a lot more dramatic then than I’m making it sound now. Especially for a family with 3 dogs who do not cat. 😅

We’re also thinking about doing some serious landscaping to our backyard and I need inspiration!

This session required a 3AM wake up and an almost

This session required a 3AM wake up and an almost 3 hour drive. Was it worth it? HELL YES! 🌅 Most of my clients do opt for their session to be at sunset, but I am always game for a sunrise one. It’s cooler temp wise and you can almost guarantee it’ll just be you, which allows for epic images like this one.

Feeling like a rainy fall day in Texas 🍂 Not mad about it! Reminds me of dreary Germany.

I remember one season we were living there, there was only something like 8 cumulative hours of sunlight or something crazy like that! Definitely had to load up on our vitamins and run like crazy outside any time the sun peeked out from the clouds. ☁️
